Formerly the Association of Independent Schools NSW, Independent Schools NSW plays a vital role in promoting educational choice across the state. By supporting and equipping their member schools to be the best they can be, ISNSW helps schools offer an ever-increasing array of exceptional learning environments that reflect the values and aspirations of the communities they serve, helping build a stronger society, one school at a time.

Through a series of workshops and interviews, we built a brand narrative for the organisation, focusing on four key pillars — advocacy, professional learning and growth, connection, and support. These pillars come together behind the idea of an organisation driven to move education forward and help schools provide families with rich and diverse educational pathways which, in turn, allow individual students to thrive. Advancing education. Enhancing futures.

This thinking informed the visual direction. The logo combines a highly stylised map of New South Wales with a flag or banner being thrust forward and a lone student leaning in to meet new challenges. The visual identity is built around clarity, adaptability, and cohesion. Layered graphic elements express the diversity of the sector, while a more focused and refined photographic approach captures the people and environments at the heart of independent education. The new visual identity is future-focused, supportive, and distinctly independent — rolled out across a comprehensive suite of print and digital applications, with a detailed style guide providing direction to the internal design team.
